Invisible Voice: project image

Developed as part of the EU-funded Hope For Change initiative and debuted at Ars Electronica 2024 in Linz, Austria.

The installation uses a computer vision pipeline to detect corporate brand logos and trademarks in its field of view, then retrieves and displays accountability data for the identified brands in real time on a large-format public display. The data layer aggregates information across 37 open datasets — covering carbon emissions, lobbying expenditure, legal proceedings, tax filings, and supply chain violations.

The work asks a simple question: what if the brands we’re surrounded by every day had to carry their record with them? The installation surfaces that record in public space, without commentary — just the data.

Alongside the installation, the project ships as a browser extension and a mobile app, making the same accountability layer accessible to anyone browsing the web or walking through a branded environment.

The full stack was built at KIBERNETIKANTO: the computer vision pipeline, the data aggregation layer that keeps 37 datasets in sync, the real-time installation software, the browser extension, and the mobile app.
